On
May 3rd at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown, Vancouver,
Canada, the Pacific Energy Innovation Association
and
its sponsors held their 3rd
biennial Charting
Our Energy Future Forum
2004
on:
Addressing Climate Change – Issues & Solutions
Forum 2004 was a
dialogue. On one side were the agencies, government service
representatives, and experienced innovative entrepreneurs who regularly
support and serve the development and commercialization of
new technologies and the economic development of communities and regions.
On the other side were researchers, scientists, manufacturers, and project
developers as the innovators, entrepreneurs, and producers of energy
supply and efficiency technologies.
The dialogue continues,
bringing together, again, those exciting and promising groups and
individuals who participated in PEIA Forums
2000 and 2002 to provide an
update about their enterprises, and to speak directly with those service
and support providers able to offer assistance immediately and in the
short-term.
PEIA Forum
2004 crafted a “crucible” by inviting people doing research, development
and technology applications to meet with those who want and are prepared
to provide assistance and support now.
PEIA Forum 2004
has documented its proceedings in a Synopsis
(pdf); prepared an Action Plan, and produced material
for educational programs, industry, agencies and
communities who offer action-oriented training related to Climate Change.
PEIA
Directors continue to volunteer their services as speakers and presenters of the
Action Plan to industry associations, community organizations, schools,
and other interested groups.
